Big Ten Conference volleyball

Big Ten volleyball represents the 14 women's teams that participate in the conference. Through 2014, Big Ten volleyball has earned a combined 24 NCAA final four appearances by 7 different teams. In 1987, Illinois became the first program to represent the Big Ten in the final four, and in 1999 Penn State won the conference's first NCAA national championship. Penn State remains the only school to have won a national championship representing the Big Ten, which they have accomplished a record 7 times, including four consecutive titles from 2007-2010, an NCAA record. Minnesota, and Illinois have both been runners-up, one time each and Wisconsin has been runner-up twice.
In 2011, former Big 12 member Nebraska joined Big Ten play for the first time and won the regular season Big Ten championship, the first Big Ten title in any sport in school history. As a member of the Big 12, Nebraska has won 3 NCAA national championships.
